Cleaning IronWall
IronWall EGD (Endpoint Guardian Daemon) is currently released for pilot users & early adopters as a result at times the software might not work with somes systems. As a result this guide helps to clean up IronWall EGD's internal files & config for maintaining optimum system stability.
Before you remove IronWall from your system
- Make sure you've an active internet connection.
- If your endpoint is quarantined for some reason & IronWall is unable to reach the IronDen servers wait for 5 minutes before you proceed.
- Issue reactivation command from the console to the endpoint before you proceed with uninstallation just in case
Cleaning process
- Open
Command Prompt
,Powershell
orTerminal
as Administrator - Run
sc.exe delete IronWallEGDMain
to delete IronWall's persistent service - Run
sc.exe delete WinDivert
to delete WinDivert's persistent service - Kill
IronWall.exe
parent process from the task manager - Run
cd "C:\Windows\SysWOW64\IronWall EGD\"
to change to installation directory - Run
.\IronWall.exe --clean-tentacles
to remove any existing system-wide configuration of IronWall from the system - Uninstall IronWall by going to
Apps
in Settings
